About the training
La formation d'aide-soignant en gériatrie est un parcours professionnel essentiel pour quiconque souhaite accompagner et prendre soin des personnes âgées, souvent dépendantes, principalement en maisons de retraite ou via des services de soins à domicile.
Elle dure généralement 1 an, parfois jusqu’à 2 selon les régions, et suit le modèle dual. Cela signifie que vous combinerez des périodes d'apprentissage théorique en école professionnelle avec des stages pratiques intensifs directement en établissement de soins pour personnes âgées.
Vous y développerez des compétences cruciales en matière de soins de base (hygiène, alimentation, mobilisation), de surveillance de l'état de santé, d'assistance aux activités quotidiennes, et de communication empathique avec les résidents et leurs familles.
